Fall brings many things to mind: leaves changing color, harvest time, and the Bavarian celebration of Oktoberfest! Although many of us would love to travel to Munich to partake in this cultural celebration, it is nice to know that we can also celebrate it in our back yard.
The Old Heidelberg Biergarten, in Bethel, plays host each year to to a smaller, more intimate Oktoberfest celebration with live music, kids entertainment, Oktoberfest beer and foods, a German store, and lots of good times and fun. This event also gives us a chance to continue to eat around the world!
