I'm originally from Long Island but I have lived in many exciting cities on the east coast (from ME to FL) over the past 30 years. My relatives are from Danbury/Brewster and Wilton/Trumbull areas, so I FEEL like CT is my home! :D

Hi Marie! Welcome to Scotia dancers! We've found that dancers who know Scottish, English, contra or square dancing find learning a second kind of dancing easier than those who don't have these kinds of dance experience. I think you will find having learned Irish also helps. Each is quite different in flavor, style and technique, but there are some similarities! In any case, looking forward to meeting you on the dance floor!
